Mcusta Zanmai was founded in 2000. As a testament to its company motto, “Always Pioneers,” Mcusta Zanmai produces laser-cut Japanese knives by combining artisan tradition in Seki, Japan with technological advances in 3D rendering. Every part of a Mcusta Zanmai knife is made in-house, from the precise CNC machine design to the production and sophisticated handcrafted finish.

Mcusta Zanmai's portfolio includes limited lines of chef's knives that are known for their high sharpness and edge retention. Utilizing the hardest stainless steel and weather-resistant handles along with the beauty of its handcrafted finishes, a Mcusta Zanmai is built to last.

Mcusta Zanmai chef's knives have a hardness of 60-64 HRC and a cutting edge of 12-15 degrees.

Seki City, Japan, has been the center of Japanese chef's knife production since the mid-13th century.
